
Hazing Prevention for Higher Education
It’s estimated that more than half of college students involved in sports, clubs, or other social organizations have experienced hazing. Hazing is historically difficult to prevent due to its ingrained presence in campus culture, with many incidents going unreported.
86% of students now support a no-hazing policy for all clubs and teams—up from just 51% before.

The Stop Campus Hazing Act, which goes into effect on June 23, 2025, marks a significant step in promoting student safety on college campuses. It requires higher education institutions to:
- Disclose Hazing Incidents
- Develop and Distribute a "Statement of Policy and Prevention Program on Hazing" as Part of Its Annual Security Report
- Compile a "Campus Hazing Transparency Report"
