For the 13th consecutive year, Vector Solutions and the IAFC’s Volunteer and Combination Officers Section (VCOS) are proud to recognize exceptional leadership in fire service training through the annual Training Officer Recognition Award.
This award celebrates the dedicated training officers who are making a lasting impact through innovative training programs, leadership, and commitment to firefighter readiness and safety.

The recipient of the 2026 Training Officer Recognition Award will receive:
Complimentary registration to Fire-Rescue International (FRI) 2026 in Kansas City, MO
Round-trip airfare to the conference

Nomination period is open now through June 30
Winner will be announced in early July
Nomination Criteria
Nominees may include chiefs, training officers, or other individuals actively involved in department training initiatives
Nominees should demonstrate creativity and innovation in fire service training
