2021 Training Officer Recognition Award

 

 

Vector Solutions and the IAFC's VCOS Are Teaming Up to Present This Year's Prestigious Award

The VCOS and Vector Solutions are pleased to announce the nomination period is now open for the 2021 Training Officer Recognition Award, which is designed to acknowledge exemplary conduct befitting of a training officer. The award will recognize an individual who has demonstrated a significant role in fire service training and exceptional creativity, commitment to best practices, and operational effectiveness at their department.

What Is Required to Be Nominated?

• Nominees should be chiefs, training officers, or others acquainted with training
• Nominees should demonstrate innovative methods for training (i.e. implementing new technologies, creativity with training, etc.)
• Nominees must be an IAFC member, or come from a department where the department or the chief is an active IAFC member
  

What Is Required of the Winning Recipient?

If possible, the recipient (or a representative on behalf of the recipient) will attend the 2021 FRI conference to receive the award during the VCOS Annual Meeting on Thursday, July 29 from 2 - 3:30PM ET.

What Will the Winner Receive?

• Free registration at 2021 Fire-Rescue International or a different event in the future
• Round-trip airfare to the FRI conference and a three-night hotel stay (provided by Vector Solutions and the VCOS)
• Recognition at VCOS section meetings
  
• A plaque commemorating the award
  
  

Other Important Information

• Nomination period concludes June 4
• Winner is announced by mid-June
• FRI is scheduled for July 28-30 in Charlotte, N.C.
