In A Time When Disasters Never Sleep, How Do You Measure First Responder Readiness?

Part Three: Continuing Compliance Management

September 4 | 11 a.m. (ET) | 8 a.m. (PT)

Unlike emergency medicine, not every state mandates continuing education for firefighter I and II certifications, although over a dozen states do have some level of continuing education that is required to maintain these certifications.

Most firefighters have a minimum of two certifications (EMS and FF I and/or II), and many have more specialty certifications that need to be managed in addition to these initial certs. Some states also offer incentive pay and pension funds that are tied to continued education/training.

Regardless of where your state falls within these scenarios, our panel of subject matter experts will cover a range of use cases to help offer practical guidance to improve compliance management and save you time.

Guest panelists include:

Indiana Fire and Public Safety Training Academy: John Shafer, Director

Kentucky Fire Commission & Academy: Mark Rudder, Director of Training, & Carrie Wilburn, Director of Operations

Missouri Division of Fire Safety: Greg Landwehr, Deputy Chief of Training and Certification

Tennessee Fire Fighting Commission: Heather Zimmerman, Director, Fire Commission
