Hazing Prevention Programs for Higher Education

It’s estimated that more than half of college students involved in sports, clubs, or other social organizations have experienced hazing.

The Stop Campus Hazing Act, which went into effect on June 23, 2025, marks a significant step in promoting student safety on college campuses.

It requires higher education institutions to:

  • Disclose Hazing Incidents
  • Develop and Distribute a "Statement of Policy and Prevention Program on Hazing" as Part of Its Annual Security Report
  • Compile a "Campus Hazing Transparency Report"
